The amazing people at Sandwich Video approached me to score Etsy’s latest television campaign. They were looking for a sound to match the handmade esthetic the site is known for. Which it turns out, closely matches the music I dream of making.
I loved working on this campaign.
When it came time to create the music for their first television spot TrueCar and Sandwich Video wanted something sweet yet unique.
We ended up with a cool Wurlitzer track in 6/8. It led to a collaboration with the brand over many years and a over a dozen spots.
Amazon was looking for music to support the launch of their new service, Prime Wardrobe. The music had to be sincere and organic to fit the imagery. They chose a track from the library, but we customized it by adding hand claps, percussion, and a new section to lift the intensity at the right moments.
Eero and NearFuture wanted an original piece of music, hoping to avoid anything cheesy or commercial sounding. “It should sound like it came off a folk record from the 60’s.”
We decided a simple acoustic guitar approach would be best, and experimented with different guitars and production techniques to match that 60’s sound. The end result is some honest advertising that I am very proud of.
